I remember learning how to batik in high school, but it never dawned on me to do anything like this. Sol MaleU is an eco-friendly studio and store (Boston, MA) that specializes in batik garments.
And let me just go on the record as saying I think it's ultra-noble of them to include a how-to of their chosen craft on their website.
It's very trendy to lift the veil on specialty websites, releasing how-tos in conjunction with the finished products. As both an advertiser and a consumer, I think this is a much more honest way of marketing, plus it connects with me on a way cooler level than just blasting features in spiked call-out stickers.
I have no idea how up-to-date this website is, but I'm telling you if I lived in Boston I'd for sure check it out. If only to get this saucy lady's autograph.
